Nuclaer Study Abroad program

Are you interested in nuclear energy and feel like you need to understand the process better by visiting actual nuclear facilities? If so, this is the education abroad program for you!
Come with us to France to learn about one of the most extensive nuclear power programs in the world.

This two-week, three-credit course focuses upon the structure of nuclear engineering in France including nuclear power, the nuclear fuel cycle, and nuclear waste disposal.  As a part of this program, you will participate in pre-departure classes that will introduce important concepts about nuclear energy.  These are conducted in-person or by distance learning that will meet a few times during the spring semester prior to the program start date.

  • Program cost: $4150- PA In-State Tuition/ $4350 PA Out-of-State (see website for additional budget items)
  • Requirements: sophomore or higher at the time of application / 2.5 GPA
