SSAB’s new Research and
Development facility in Montpelier, Iowa, as well as its steelmaking facilities
in Montpelier, Iowa and Mobile, Alabama, have openings for internship and co-op
students who possess a background in Metallurgy and/or Materials Science. These
positions are available for the 2015 season beginning June 1 to the end of the year.
Research and Development co-ops
will work with a renowned engineering team to improve SSAB’s steelmaking
practices and develop new products and procedures in a state-of-the-art
facility. Duties include assisting
research analysts and engineers with metallurgical preparations, analysis, and
reports while gaining valuable industry experience. Applicants should have a strong work ethic
and mechanical aptitude, work well in groups and be self-motivated.
