Undergraduate and Graduate Representatives for MSE DIVERSITY COMMITTEE

MSE DIVERSITY COMMITTEE, September 2016

The Materials Science and Engineering Diversity Committee is looking for 1 undergraduate student and 1 graduate student to join our committee for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 to represent undergrad and graduate students respectively.

1. As part of the MSE‐Diversity Committee, your role will involve:
• Attending to our MSE Diversity Committee meetings (held monthly).
• Interaction with MSE Faculty and Staff and students.
• Active participation and help organizing MSE Diversity Activities
• Be the communication liaison between undergraduate/graduate students and our committee.
2. We are looking for students who are:
• Highly motivated and engaged in Diversity efforts
• Responsible and reliable and creative.
• Well connected with the MSE undergraduate/graduate student network.
3. Application Process.

• Full Name, year in MSE
• Statement explaining i) what diversity means to you; and ii) why you would like to serve in this committee.
