ACerS Participation in WISE 2016

Each year, outstanding engineering students are selected to spend nine weeks in Washington, D.C., learning about the public policy process, including how government officials make decisions on complex technological issues and how engineers can contribute to legislative and regulatory public policy decisions.  In a recent meeting, the ACerS Board of Directors approved supporting one intern in the 2016 WISE program.

Students must be:
  1. a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States. Applicants may not apply for the program if not already a permanent resident of the United States.
  2. a junior or senior entering his/her final year of undergraduate studies in engineering (or computer science). WISE will also accept applications from engineering grads who are beginning Masters level study in a technology policy-related degree.
Please share this information and encourage any student who meets these qualifications to apply.  The deadline for applications is December 31, 2015.
