Dear Hokies:
PCC (Precision Castparts Corp.) will be back on campus this September trying to overcome the reputation of “The Biggest Company You Never Heard Of”.  We certainly appreciate our relationships with many Departments and Student Clubs around campus.  Besides participating in the Career Fair at Squires for both Tuesday and Wednesday (September 15-16), we will hold another Information Session on Wednesday evening in Squires 342 at 6 PM.  We will review our aerospace casting, forging, machining and assembly businesses in our 150 manufacturing plants, and we can talk about the recent agreement for Berkshire-Hathaway (Warren Buffett) to purchase PCC.

I plan to be on campus on Monday of that week and will stop by the Ware Labs and the VT FIRE foundry.  Please spread the word to your students/colleagues that PCC is looking for students interested in manufacturing both new graduates and for Co-op assignments.  We are particularly looking for any students wanting to pursue a career in Manufacturing Operations for our Management Development Program.
