are looking for students with the following qualifications:
Educational Qualifications: BS or MS in
Metallurgy or Materials Science & Engineering. Educational background or experience with
process equipment is strongly desired. This position is open to recent (or expected)

Be a part of this dynamic company. A Materials Engineer is needed to provide
consulting services in metallurgy/materials engineering and related
technologies, primarily for processing equipment, for DuPont manufacturing
plant operations, capital projects and development programs. An internal
consultant is expected to develop deep technical expertise in their competency
area in addition to being a general consultant for other areas. Typical
areas of technology for this role include materials of construction selection,
metallurgical engineering, project support, fabrication and repair assistance,
welding, failure analysis, corrosion evaluations, equipment inspection and condition
assessment, and technical training programs. The materials engineer will
network with DuPont resources and cross-functional teams to achieve timely
solutions to business problems.
The
successful candidate will have a strong metallurgy or materials engineering
background with the ability to use these fundamental skills to solve problems
related to equipment performance and reliability. Prior exposure to
corrosion technology and failure mechanisms is extremely desirable. Prior
work experience in the chemical, food processing or bio-fuels industry is also
desirable.
